turbo too small? how would i know?

So, i know this is about lightnings and all but im a regular here.

my v6 f150 has a remote mount setup, everything seems great, i make full boost by about 3000 rpm and this little thing hauls *** for a v6.

someone mentioned that with a small turbo that if it doesnt allow enough exhaust flow that i'll have too much backpressure.

i dont know how to tell if i have too much backpressure :-(

the truck doesnt seem to be choking anywhere on the exhaust side or anywhere else.

thanks in advance.

If the truck kinda falls down up top, or if you get a dyno chart and it levels off up top.

I always measure with EGT. If fuel trims are correct and egt's are to high, its time to up the exhaust side. 3000 sounds perfect

awesome thank you for the response.

my tuner, i asked him about this and he didnt have anything really bad to say about it

his exact words "we'll, yeah its small, u should put a bigger turbo on after you build ur internals and bump this thing up to about 18psi and lets see what we can get outta this thing"

haha

thanks againf or the help.

this is a v6 with 8psi on stock motor, remote mount setup.
