Pro Turbo header question

I was wondering if I should spend the extra cash for the ceramic coating they offer on their headers of if its really worth the money and I'd be just as well off without it. Thanks ~Trent

I have the ceramic coating. I think its worth it.
The coating becomes chalky looking after a few good heat cycles, but it keeps it from rusting. Another note, it appears that anything you can do to keep heat in the header is worthwhile as it tends to spool the turbo faster. They don't use jet hot coatings, but if you go to their website, you'll see some interesting specs on how much the coatings help.

or if your doing your own custom turbo build you could use the FORD RACING GT SS Headers..flip them over so the outlets point forward and they wrok perfectly and they save you about a grand...

I have the ceramic coating on mine. It does help, however on my next set I am going to send them to jethot and have them coated. I belive it is like 200 a set for inside and out.

Thanks for the responses guys, from what it sounds like the Jet Hot coating is better than their ceramic coating at least as far as looks go after some driving time although from my understanding they function very similarly, and is the exact same price $200 for either one. So it looks like I'll get the normal headers then send them to Jet Hot for the coating. Although I'm a bit curious, how much were the ford racing gt ss headers going for because the headers from pro turbo were $900 uncoated for both. Thanks ~Trent

the cool part with jethot is they are a bright silver almost chrome. They will have very little fade or chalking. Best part is they are coated inside and out completely

Yeah I'm going to have a clean engine bay and would prefer no chalking of any kind and I figured the coating would be clean with Jet Hot. Should flow nice once I have it all on with lots of nice billet and carbon fiber under there as well.....eventually. Thanks ~Trent

http://www.performancecoatings.com/ ---another very good coater!! Price is very competitive to JET HOT, time frame is faster, and I think their customer service blows away JET HOT. I used them to coat my turbo piping as well as my Long Tubes on my truck as of current. The Long Tubes still look brand new!!!!!!!!!!
