| Registered User | Mini truck diesel conversion Anyone have suggestions on converting a 5 year old or less mini pickup from gas to bio-diesel? Which make/model of gas pickup will convert the easiest to a diesel engine that will mate up to the original transmission that will work? thanks a bunch.

View this user's gallery iTrader: 2 / 100% | To do that you would need to redo all of the suspension...front and back to handle the weight of the diesel engine...I dont know if you talking like taking a ford ranger and throwing in a cummins or taking a ranger and throwing in a jeep 2.5l CRD...they would each require differnt things...be more specific and we can be more specific...but I gave you a base... On the tranny, I dont think you could...there isnt ANY mini turcks with diesels...so you would prolly have to switch trannys as well... |

| New setup to come...Again Paid Member | Ford also made a diesel ranger (early/mid eighties) my neighbor has two of them that he has found. I'm not sure of the specifics but they are factory ranger diesels with an inline 4 and the tiniest little turbo you ever have seen. |
