1st time out

Not sure on the humidity but unfortunately the temps were 30C/86F, which is hot around here.

Instead of holding it in the box I just did a rolling burn out, which seemed to work well. Very little wheels spin on all 6 passes.

Keep in mind our track altitude is 3600ft and I am bone stock.

1st pass...30C...I kept it in 1st for the burnout and forgot to put it back in drive till after the 1000rpm launch. Just bogged on the shift point.

RT: .219
60: 2.259
1/4: 15.096
MPH: 92.20

2nd pass...26C...Kept it in drive for the burnout, no problem keeping rpms up, stalled it to 1500.

RT: .253
60: 2.226
1/4: 14.824..more like it
MPH: 92.57

3rd pass...24C...another 1500 stall

RT: .190
60: 2.326
1/4: 14.886
MPH: 92.97

4th...2000 stall

RT: .174
60: 2.322
1/4: 14.891
MPH: 92.82

5th...18C...60ft consistently getting slower, went back to 1000.

RT: .132
60: 2.17...there we go
1/4: 14.559
MPH: 93.82

6th and final...

RT: .070
60: 2.219...not sure
1/4: 14.605
MPH: 93.94...best topend

I was thinking mid 14's at the slowest but I'm still satisfied. Corrected to sea level would be something like a second off. I had my friend keep an eye on a stock TBSS for a comparable adjustment. He was running low 15's.

Just setting a baseline for the mods to come.

Took the truck to the scales for some gtech times. 4790lbs. Only got a few runs off on the gtech. ran a 14.8 with huge 1st gear spin.

Never do burnouts in drive. Too much line pressure. Ask me how I know.

seriously? lots of rules to follow. guess I'm just use to my bulletproof C6.

so, OD off, manually shift from 1st to 2nd through the box, then to drive for launch?
