Torque Convertor = 3 tenths?

How much improvement will a medium stall (2600-2800) good quality torque convertor help in the 1/4 mile (assuming the tires will hold it)? The truck runs 12.7s now.

You might see 12.5's. Is the 12.7's with slicks?

I'd say at least 4 tenths. I put a converter and some good tires and shocks on my truck and picked up 8 tenths.

No, drag radials for now but maybe some hoosier slicks by racing season!

You mean the "rolling into the throttle" technique? I'm dying to try it out with some slicks. Before we could launch at 1000 rpms and go quickly to the floor but with the new convertor it might not hook so well, we shall see.

The gains I posted above was on BFG drag radials launching off the converter at 2400 RPM's. No rolling in here!

P.S. Take a look at my new 1/8th mile time. It hasn't been updated into the list so read down to my post.
