I decided to give up working on my race truck project (for this weekend only) and go out and see what my SuperCab L would do. Even though this is normally against my better judgement, where this is my driver and not set up to race, but I got the itch and just had to scratch it. Damn finals were rained out, but got 4 passes in anyhow. Low and Behold it ran a 14.417 @ 93.56. I was extremely pleased to say the least considering my ONLY mods are a Powerdyne Supercharger w/ set of Hedman 1-1/2" long tube headers. No tuning, no aftermarket ignition. A 2-pump trick w/ some 110 in the front tank and 11deg timing BTDC. I was curious what this big ol' tank weighed, so I scaled it after my first pass. The porker tipped the scales at 4850 w/o me in it. If my calculations are correct, I'm putting down close to 320hp to the rear wheels. I couldn't be happier considering this is my tow rig. ![]() |

| Super Moderator Paid Member | Nice flogging Keith. Thats some good traps for that truck. When I ran Roys (supercabL) at Lfest #1 it was running identical times as yours with the powerdyne on her too. I miss those PD days where you could nail it in first gear and get some good pull on street tires. I added your truck to the times and mod list! Last edited by Super Glide; 08-08-2005 at 04:00 PM.. |
