Post New best with 28x10.5's and Vortech

My father and I went back to Rockingham Dragway today for some more t-n-t. Had some 28x10.5 et drags i had laying around mounted up on some old 15x8 steel wheels and we took the front swaybar off also. Other than that the combo was the same as last week's 13.33@105.80 on radials.
The track was in MUCH better conditions this week as well. Wasn't nearly the moisture in the track that there was last week.
They just had to goof and not turn the 1/4 mile timers back on after they had let some 1/8 drag cars run. (were suppose to turn the 1/4 timers back on when the street cars/trucks were up) Of course it had to be the best 1/8 pass of the day too....DOH. Best 1/4 run was a 12.86@105.88 w/ a 1.87 60ft. Anyways, here's the slips,#58

On a side note it did bump the speed limiter right at the end of the traps. Not a good thing....nothing was hurt though. Time for a chip and some more mods!

I'm running about the identical set-up that you are, can't wait to see what it will actually do.

I just got it dynoed Sunday...thought you might be interested.......

340hp and 404ft.lbs :boost retard set at 0*

MODS:
S-trim,twin electric fans,Bassanni shorty equal length's and off road X-pipe, 2 chamber Flowmasters!

Can't wait to get to the track...this weather in the single digits, and the teens really sucks!!!!!

So what do you guys think this combo will run?

Edelbrock Performer heads (comp valve job, mils bowl, chamber and port work)
GT40 lower- potrmatched and welded and fully ported
custom cam- about .524/.526 lift (with 1.7 RR's), about 220* duration, 114* centerline
Basanni headers, no cat x-pipe, custom cat-back with 2 ch Flows
shift kit
UDP's
No Smog gear (except EGR)
9" K&N cone
Crane Hi6 ignition
36lb injectors and adjustable regulator
28x10 MT's
Cal-Tracs traction bars
and up to 150hp of NOS (for emergency use only!)

I really think this should put me into the 13's pretty easily. Any ideas what I should expect to run in the 1/4??

Chuck,
My guess would be around mid 13's or so on motor. With the emergency 150hp happy juice about low to mid 12's.
BTW who are you going to get to do a custom chip or do you have mass air?

Billy
