Post Found German Shepherd Puppy

A friend of mine found a German Shepherd pup today and pawned it off on me. My 9 year old Male GSD does not like the pup at all. Anyone know of a good home for her? Excellent markings, health, about 3 months old. From what I can tell she is intelligent and attentive. Decent pain threshold. Will probably be around 65-70 lbs. I already hit WalMArt and got her a crate, food, and a bath.

How about giving it to http://www.operationkindness.org/

That way if its owners are actually looking for it they have a prayer of finding it..

I would like to see her. My 10 year old GSD needs a friend. I could probably take her off your hands.

Why not give the dog to the local animal control organization AKA the pound??

This is the first place an owner of a lost dog would look for it. Also the dog might have a micro chip placed under the skin that the pound can scan and use to locate the owner.

If the owner is not located you can then keep the dog or find a home for it.

Just my 2 cents

UPDATE: I found a good home for her land, dogs, and kids. I emailed all the local animal shelters with her pics and my phone number. I figured any concerned owner would be calling the pounds first thing Monday morning. She had a ghetto type collar on the shelter people said a lot of dogs get turned loose after Christmas. After only two days I hate to let her go I can't stand turning dogs over to shelters. I think we all win on this situation.
She likes to ride in the L too!

Uh, Terry, judging by that second pic, I can see why you might not want to give up that dog....

Cool

Terry

In agree with 98Cobra. If it's not too late, you may want to check with the local police departments. Looks like the dog has already been trained to find the "stash".

Yeah it was harder than letting Mom driving my L to turn her over today. After she ate she would lay on my chest on the couch and take a nap . She is in a law enforcement family if you know what I mean... Thanks to Brians connections. I can tell you one thing after having a female for two days I may replace my male with one when the time comes. At least I get visitation .
