| Guest | It taught me one surprising thing already... It is amazing how much of the time you spend at idle or near idle throttle position. Even when intending to do some WOT romps very little of that time is atually at 60%+ Throttle position. The Intake Air temp is really interesting to watch. It goes up to near 100 degrees on a 62 degree day while waiting for red lite. IT doesnt cool off to near ambient until you are going 60 or so. It would be interesting to do a comparison against a stock airbox and against a ram air equipped L |

| Guest | That is a great idea Doug. Stock box vs. ram air. Then I could tell if my Stage II JL ram air was worth the money. I can't tell because I added a chip at the same time. I think a better comparison test would be having JL's powercooler/supercooler vs. not having it. That is going to be another mod I add by summer.(If I have my truck back by then). |

| Guest | I'd be willing to volunteer my time and truck and assist with a MOD FAQ that shows what the effects of each mod really is (ie. Stock air box vs Ram Air; Pro-M MAF vs Stock MAF; Big Throttle Body vs stock TB; etc...) (in other words, stuff the dyno doesn't show ya...) I think on behalf of the Lightning community it would be very beneficial. I can chart, plot, and html-ize things as needed... I know 5.4 Muscle has stuff laying around (MAF and TB) we could probably borrow and document....right? ![]() Anyoways...just food for thought... |

| Guest | Yeup, depending on what your refresh rate is... you can export it to Excel and create the graphs. You can export it to separate columns and overlap the two graphs. But, for example, you can look at things like what the TPS voltages are across certain RPMs, etc. Autotap exports it with a "comma" as a delimiter, makes graphing easy.... |

| Guest | You can borrow it as long as you treat it like "the royal crown". I would like to know what HP advantage the Billet Throttle Body has over the FMS TB. Had mounted 2001 Chromies at Discount Tire and my eagle eye spotted "one" bent lip on the rim! good thang I did not drive off...they would have blamed it on me...I know their drift...wheel monopoly....so next week I will have a full set low mile 2000 re-chromies for sale...hee.hee.. ![]() I had one of those AutoTap for my 1998 Z28..they are excellent to pull up codes before you take it in... ![]() [This message has been edited by 5.4 Muscle (edited 12-30-2001).] |

| Guest | When I get back from vacation, email me an exported file and I'll compare to my setup on the Formula. Mine exports with the "items" on the left side and then the data, column, by column to the right, recorded depending on the refresh rate... if you don't want the time stamps, the data is still in order, just separate the columns and delete the timestamps... If you want to graph ALL of the data on one graph, that's purty hard without getting into 3D modeling Autotap users "say" it's more accurate if you deselect evertyhing but the stuff you wanna datalog, etc... |
