| Guest | Anyone know where to get some good custom audio work done? I need some new sound in the L...sub, amp, and maybe a new head unit. Anyone had any dealings with Car Toys, and their prices? I am not looking to go the same route as L8 with the DynaMat and all. Just want some good sound.... [This message has been edited by Mat2001 (edited 12-16-2001).] |

| Guest | Who ever you use, just becareful. When I got my 93 last month or so, I was having stereo problems and decided to redo what was already done. Come to find out, the wire harnesses look like someone just went to town with wire cutters...but I could tell it was done by a stereo shop. Just my .02 cents George ------------------ 93 Lightning Build #2986 of 5276 Bone Stock.... Best trade I ever made! |

| Guest | What's wrong with my way? It is a straight forward and basic approach? Just takes a little effort Not bad though for only 15-1800 bucks I had a fully dynamatted interior, Boston Acoustics RC820 component set $300, Kenwood Excelon Z828 MP3, satelite ready head unit $500. Fosgate Punch 4ch 600W amp $350, JL 10W6 sub in box $225, Kenwood Excelon 10 disc changer that reads CD, CD-R, etc $200. 39sqft Dynamat pak $140 though I would recomend Cascade V-blok or such. $80 misc wiring and install adapters. I would have to say the components and head unit makes the most difference. I unpluged the rear spkrs as they mess up the imaging and give little voice through the seats and sub box in the way.
