Spare tire recall?

The latest issue of Consumer Reports indicates that the Firestone recall has been expanded to include 16" versions of the Wilderness AT, which is what our (my) spare tires are. First I've heard of this. Anyone have any more info?

Yeah there have been some posts of people getting the spare replaced. As far as I am concerned my spare needs to last 100 miles max. I am pretty sure it can handle it

If anyone is planning on turning in their spare for replacement, please contact me first. I would like to borrow a little tread before it is swapped out.

Sixpipes

I have the F1 with the chunk out of the sidewall.. It holds air fine. has about 1/3 tread left.... Discount tire replaced it FREE...
We just need to find another f1 and we can start filming smoky burnouts again...

I've got two F1's that are completely ready for a big *** destructo burnout. Just need to be mounted back on some rims.

I'd donate em to the cause.

Ah, I wish you'd spoken up just a bit sooner. I had all four of my original F1's that I'd been storing in the attic. Finally decided Monday that I was never going to need them, so I traded them in on a new spare tire for my utility trailer. They were worn out, but could have worked fine for a burnout video. Sorry.
