Needed some F-body spankers

At KD Dragway last night there were 5 or 6 Camaros/Firebirds in the street class that needed a good whoopin' from a truck.I was racing the old Stang and without a blower or nitrous my 95 couldn't do it but I would like to have seen the faces on those kids if a truck would've outran them.I lined up with one Ram Air 6 spd.T/A in time trials that ran an 8.36(1/8 mile)so he would've handed me my tailgate.It's probably time for the blower,right.

Hey! Let me know the next time you're heading out there and we'll bring our convertible. Chris needs the practice and I need to vent some frustration.
My green mustang is very much apart right now and I'm waiting on a clutch and some bearings before I can get it back on the road, but the stocker convertible can fill the void. Though it's not going to spank on any F-body cars

(14.88@93 in the quarter mile)

I'm going to be at National Trails Labor Day weekend for Expo Ford.They are running a truck class this year so I think I'm going to run the Mustang Fri.&Sat. and race the L in the truck class on Sun.Keep spankin' those Slowmaros & Fireturds with your hay hauler.

Is there a camp ground near National Trails?

If we come up, we'll be camping.

Trace,there are campgrounds close to the track and I think you can camp at the track if you are in the show or racing.I'll have to check the url for sure but there is a web site for the event.It is either www.fordexpo.com .I'll try to look around and see.I sure hope to see some Lightnings there this year with the truck class starting.It's a pretty neat event and it's ALL FORD!
Ok,it's the first one,fordexpo.I just went there and they have info on the whole weekend.

Well DUH! I'm so brain dead lately. We camped there for the NMRA event, right next to the track. Pretty decent facilities and cheap too!

I think Chris and I will be there, sounds like fun.

Sorry we can't bring along another Lightning for the truck class yet.. Had some other things get in the way.

Hey I know a couple trucks in the area will can handle the 8.36s from the chevys.

I'll be there. I don't know if I'm going to run or not. What the he11! I'll run. My 1/8 mile et is about 8.30 with the best of 8.20.Josh

That sounds great QUICKSVT,we need to get some Ls out there.I guess everybody else finds it just as hard as I do getting to a SOLO gathering.I'll be at Expo though,I've been there every year since the first one back about 1980.
