Hey,this weekend the big Ford Swap Meet in Columbus is going on.I plan on going tomorrow.Anybody else going?If I get my exhaust right away I'll be taking the L to the strip at Kanawha Valley in W,Va.

Where's it at in Columbus? I think it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow though! Just spent 3hrs detailing the L today and put it right back in the garage. Have to see what the weather does but I suppose I could take the other ride.

FASTRK99 - So that was you hogging the car wash bay today?!? Awesome day today but it is going to rain. Just be glad you have your L. Mine's nothing but a bunch of numbers in a computer waitin' to get pulled...

There's a couple guys posting on f150online that are from Cinci too. Some have already made it to Edgewater...

The swap meet is at the state fairgrounds,I think they call it the Ohio Expo Center anymore.It's a pretty good meet,I usually try to go at least one day to the spring Mid-Ohio Ford Owners swap and the fall United Ford Owners swap.They have a lot of stuff,last fall I saw a couple of L parts at one booth.

ZZZZZZ---I went to the swap meet in Columbus Sunday and enjoyed that wonderful Central Ohio weather.I saw one vendor with new L engines,genI $3200,genII$3600.I also saw my first 01L in the parking lot.I still don't really like the wheels.

The wheels and lights are kind of 'counter-culture' for all american muscle. I do think the old rims are better but I do like the look of the 01 too. 'Course, I would have ordered one with crappy steel wheels and no lights just as long as it had the blown v8...

I will be checking on it again this friday. I have a feeling that it will still be 6 weeks out. I've read on f150online about some other March orders getting a 'total performance package' delay (whatever that is) so I'm going to be watching it like a hawk.

You know I'm going to be living in that car wash bay due to my silly choice in paint color.

Anyone have a good suggestion for making the time go by..

Time go by???let me think...You can help me wash mine this weekend if our forecast hold true!LOL....just kidding, couldn't resist. I know how ya must feel waiting. Nothing looks as nice as black when kept up so looks like you'll be needing the bay ..lol!. Wonder what a "Total Performance Package" is? All I know is that mine sure seems to be TOTALLY performing so I gotta know what that means!

Hey SlowSUV.....Eastgate Ford here in Dayton has a Black '01 on the lot (been there for 3 weeks). They also have a Silver and a Red one.
Planet Ford has five ( 5 !!!) H-D models lined up at the front of the store.
Interstate Ford has a used '99 white, and just took in a '00 Black last weekend (trade for an Expidition).
Hope this info helps your L jonesin'.

Hey Pothole - When I'm posting early in the morning that means I beat everyone else into the office...

You don't happen to have a contact or reference for Eastgate do you?

While I generally sound like I've got ants in my pants waiting for my L, I actually do have a couple of reasons for my delay. First is that I'm doing xplan pricing and most dealers I've talked to that will consider that deal don't want to do that with their lot inventory. Second, I have a lease that needs to expire here in a couple weeks so I don't have to juggle two cars.

Thanks for the suggestions and I will try and check Eastgate out!

Hey Pothole - I called Eastgate and they sold the Black L today! Just my luck.. just as I was starting to convince myself to say screw the wait BUY NOW! They were very pleasant and helpful over the phone AND they were willing to do xplan on their stock (D#MN.. thats what I get for not calling around more!). They do have a silver and two red Ls as well.
