Dunno about the '01 shocks, but I do know Bilstein used to revalve their Sport shocks on request for Alpina and the like, but you're talking $$$ that would prolly be better spent on fully adjustable shocks.

Ruslow makes the mounting kits for the shocks. With the kit, it's a bolt on. See the other links in this forum. Most of the info is there.

Who is Ruslow? Does he have a website?

Spike: I went back to all topics for the last year and did not find any additional links, other than a shock dyno and a shock being moved from Gen2 to here. I found links to other manufacturers, but no mention of this mounting kit or where to purchase or just more detail.

If it's a mounting kit, can I substitute other manufacturers, say like Koni ?

Thanks!

Do a search by the user name "ruslow" and there should be at least 4 or 5 topics that he's been involved in. He doesn't have a web site. Here's a photo of him though:

The other topic to see in this forum is "Move topic from Gen2 to here." It has a link to a topic titled "The subject is shocking." Also, I think the search term "shock" or "shocks" should get some other results.

Regarding the mounting kit, I don't know if it'll work on Koni's. The only way to find out would be to buy a front and rear and check. I wish I could help on this question more, but I can't.
