Post Move shock topic from Gen2 forum to here?

Anyone think the discussion on shocks in the Gen 2 forum would be better served here? (or in the Autocross forum)?

It's a good question. My initial reaction was "no" because the topic and discussion is more about shocks, not shocks for racing. On the other hand, if topics such as this are posted here, it may draw more attention to this forum. Subsequently, more Lightning owners may get interested in road racing.

Hi Spike Ok, I can understand that...Anyways, regarding the Koni's, I heard back from my supplier and he said there isn't a Lightning specific application.

The Tokico's sound interesting, I guess I'll have to call them and find out some more info.

I talked with Koni awhile back, and you're correct - they don't have a specific Gen2 Lightning application. But, they probably make shocks that will fit, but you must make or create a mounting kit. That holds true for other shock manufactures (Pro shocks, Carrera, Koni's, QA1).

Spike - do either you or Ruslow have any pics of the shocks mounted on our trucks that you guys are working on, or any pics of what the mounting hardware looks like?

I'll post a photo or two later of the mounted shocks without the mounting kit. There's not much to see other than shocks on a red truck.

There isn't a photo of the mounting kit, but it exists. Some of Stan's work has been copied because of photos posted online, so I hope you understand why those pix might not be posted.

The word from Hotchkis is that Bilstien won't be making tuned shocks for the their suspension kit.
