Question Chip to control shift firmness on Gen1 ?

I am wondering if you can set up a chip to control the shift firmness (line pressure) of the E4OD ?!

I don't know if my converter is going out or what, but my truck has started to shft EXTERMELY HARD!! Even when you put it in gear, it makes a big thump?!

The weird thing is,.....it comes and goes! Sometimes it will shift like this for several days at a time, then it'll quit and shift fine for a week or so. Then it starts shifting hard AGAIN!!

Any ideas or suggestions?!

Thanks

I can control trans pressure for sure, but it sounds to me like you have other problems. Usually hard shifting like you are mentioning is caused by the PCM going into a default, which causes super hard shifts. The most common cause is related to loosing the speed sensor signal, so the PCM has no idea of vehicle speed.
