| Guest | ive never been able to get a straight detailed answer on this is it possible using a mustang computer wiring harness, injector harness, mass air meter, A9L and other related parts to convert a gen 1 to mass air and then use a bauman TCS to control the transmission? is there another option for transmission control (ive heard using the factory computer as a stand alone transmission controller is possible but have no idea how that would work anyways what im getting at is that at least for me this would be a cheap alternative to buying an aftermarket mass air system (i know its not always needed, im more interested in being able to use the A9L) as i have or can get most of the required parts. the only expense would be on the TCS which ive heard is a nice thing to have anyways whats your opinion on this? |

| Guest | Jeff Sparkman talked about doing this a number of times. I'm sure it's doable, but the wiring is no small task. I think an even better/cheaper idea is to use the VEX1 processor (talk to Kevin Leppert on the harness) and an EEC-Tuner ![]() ------------------ Thanks, Raymond Performance Specialties 01 Cobra 95 Lightning (lots O' mods faster than the Cobra) |

| Guest | Mike, Before getting the EEC-Tuner for the VEX1 that's exactly the route I was going to take. However, my truck is already setup for sequential injection and it would be a rather simple matter of relocating a few pins in the EEC harness. It's a bit more daunting if you're looking at a stock harness. It's just a matter of patience, though, and splicing... ------------------ Later! Jeff S.
