Post Need help w/tuning

Hey Raymond,
I have a 94 Ford Lightning with the following mod.
Vortech T trim 10 psi
ported and polished gt 40s
ford motorsports mass air 30# injectors
75 mm throttle body
Powerdyne shift kit
1.7 roller rockers
Full basani exhaust
210 electric fans
MSD ignition w/boost retardant
also running 50 shot wet

Last night it ran good through 1st and 2nd and 3rd just falls on its face.
I have done no tuning.I need help with making everything run together good. If you could help me with a chip or something else. Let me know what you think I need and how much it will cost.

Thanks,
Terry

Hi Terry, since my truck is apart I am going to live vicariously through you

Do you have a fuel pressure guage ? Do you have an FMU ? If so what disc do you have ? It really sounds like you are running out of fuel. Have you looked at the plugs ? Maybe get it on a dyno and make a pull and have the A/F measured.

I'll have to look to see if I can do a chip. If so it would be around 299.95.

I do have plans to add EEC-Tuner support for the Motorsport mass air processor. An EEC-Tuner runs 349.00 for NLOC members.

Yes, my fuel pressure at the top of 1st is about 60-65. My FMU is recalibrated for 30# injectors. I looked at my plugs and from my observation, they look maybe a little rich. I plan on in the near future getting to the dyno and doing some tuning. By the way, what kind of mods. are you running and what's your 1/4 mile et?

Thanks for getting back to me.

No problem Terry, well I haven't been to the track since it was just bolt ons and a 130 shot (3 years ago !!). It went a 13.1. Since then most of it's time was spent being an EEC-Tuner test vehicle

Now it's going back together with an S-trim hoping to see 15lbs of boost (I'd love to have that T), 42# injectors, some kind of large Cam Motion cam (gotta get the heads flowed), TFS R heads, 1 7/8 headers, 2800 stall Level 10 billet converter, blah blah. The R heads put a kink in my finances since I have to redo the exhaust so it's taking me a bit longer to get it going.

Thanks,
Raymond

That's about what I ran Friday at Ennis.I think I should be running 12.5s or better. Also, what size pulley are you going to use to get 15#s out of your s trim?
