| Guest | Hey Raymond, what kind of benefits will the EEC-Tuner have on my 94 L that's pretty much stock? I don't have any major mods. The mods on it are MSD 6A ignition, MSD Blaster coil, FMS 9mm wires, K&N cone filter, off-road H-pipe, Magnaflow 2.5" dual in/dual out muffler with dumps. No motor or tranny work at all. Would one of those be of any benefit to me on a stock motor? Or do I need cam, heads, etc. for it work? What all can it do with the transmission and benefits? I think I may have asked all this before but heck, I can't find the post, lol. I'm thinking of saving up for a Tuner after I get my new tires. If I can get the benefits I need. I'm shooting for low 14s to high 13s on stock motor. I know some guys that are running low 14s without much mods so I believe it's possible. ------------------ Adam B. 1994 Red SVT Lightning #2019 |

| Guest | Hi Adam, honestly on a stock truck I'm not sure it will give you any big time results. You could bump the shift points a bit, firm up the shifts, move rev and speed limiters, give it a bit more timing, etc. Although most of that (except the limiters) could be done by advancing the timing at the dist. (total WOT) and shifting manually I'd love to sell you a Tuner, but at this point I think you might be better off spending the money on some other mods. Maybe Cobra rockers or headers or a good converter. Out of all of it IMHO a converter/shift kit combo would help the most. If you plan on future mods (like a blower) then it is a different story ![]() ------------------ Thanks, Raymond Performance Specialties 01 Cobra 95 Lightning (lots O' mods faster than the Cobra) |

| Guest | Thanks a bunch, Ray. I appreciate the honesty. I WILL eventually get one but I'll wait untill I get my blower on in the future. I've been thinking of replacing the valve springs and possibly installing 1.72 rr's at the same time. I was thinking about a converter and shift kit, too, but wasn't sure if the EEC tuner would take care of that in itself via the computer and I wouldn't have to get the converter/shift kit. Oh well, glad I know now. Tuner is a future mod for sure. May be while though. Lots to think about. ![]() ------------------ Adam B. 1994 Red SVT Lightning #2019 |
