Post Converter Lockup Points

Hey Raymond, I was wanting to change the lock -up points for the converter. Or maybe remove the lockup in 2nd, any advice on this?

Also I have some 30# injectors waiting to go in, what FMU recal should I use with these injectors.

Laurence, I set all of mine except WOT (1023.00 leave those stock) to 60 mph in 2nd and 3rd. Basically that let's you run around unlocked. I liked it with the S-trim it seemed to help it build boost a little faster at part throttle. Felt torquey to me.

How much boost are you running ?

I see 8psi most of the time. May add a 2.62 pulley at the track sometime once I get the injector thing worked out. Will moving the lockups hurt gas mileage any, wouldn't think it would too much at somewhat low speeds.

Hmmm I'm not sure about gas mileage I never measured it It might a little since the engine is operating at a little higher RPM. It's hard to say on the FMU since the trucks run lean under boost maybe start with a 10:1 then drop down if that is too much. Better safe than sorry.....

Hey Raymond, do you change it to 60 in just the trans_converter_lock, or both that and trans_converter_unlock? Well, about .5 under the lockup, like it is stock?

Laurence, this is how I have it set up. I left the unlock values alone and concentrated on lock. This is for 2nd, but 3rd is similar. You want it to lock under WOT (1020.00)

1020.00 16.00
644.00 60.00
644.00 60.00
300.00 60.00
300.00 60.00
0.00 60.00
0.00 60.00
0.00 60.00
0.00 60.00
0.00 60.00

Finally got a chance to go out and download those Lockup values. Works great, much smoother without that double shift feeling

Go another question for ya Ray. When I went to change the speed limiter I changed it to 155, but left the speed_limit_stg1_hysterisis alone and it would limit the speed to about 30 MPH so what do I change that value to, to get it to work right?

Hi Laurence, try setting it to 127.0 for some reason the GUI changes it to some low amount if you set it over that. Or you could just set the hysteresis to 0 and leave the limiter alone if your going to go faster than 127

Thanks Ray. Yeah, I don't plan on going to fast, I had just picked 155 to make sure I could definitely tell that it was moved. I'll try that 127 first.
