Cool tuner

hey raymond,

im being told by a reputable someone that an eec tuner is in my future. i have a 93 w/CP31. i know very little of computers, but i guess im fixin to learn. can you give a brief rundown of what it is, what can be done, what it costs, does it need to be upgraded all the time like everything else computer related, and such? like i say, i have minimal knowledge of such and am not real excited about the concept, but here we go...

Hi Mudd, basically the EEC-Tuner is a reprogramable chip via a laptop. Most people think you need to be a computer wiz, but that's not it. What you really need to understand are some basic engine theories. Like a/f ratio, timing, and etc. The only thing computer related is clicking check boxes or typing in values :> )

I wont lie the software has a LOT of things that can be changed and seems intimidating at first. Also the names of what can be changed aren't all that friendly, but they are correct programming wise. Just remember as with any tuning you take small steps until you are comfortable and have a good understanding.

The Tuner currently runs 369.00 +10.00 shipping or 349.00 +10.00 shipping for NLOC members.

The only upgrades have been to increase functionality. Recently the ability to datalog has been added. I am working with the software guys to add support for the Lightning.

Now for the most important part.... You better be excited dammit

Seriously ask any questions you need to, if your not comfortable with the product we both lose out.

Hey Muddmann, dont worry about it. Raymond is a good guy and he'll answer all your questions. I just ordered my tuner from him today and I am a bit nervous too, but Im sure once I get over the "hump" itll be cake.
