Post January get together

Ok, here is the deal . . . . . Bike Rider knows where there is an indoor go cart track, and if we get enough people interested, we could rent the track for the evening, they run the grid and car assignements to keep everthing on the up and up, and at the end of the night there is the trophy presentation. Bike Rider said it is about $60.00 and there are at least 5 races -- wifes and or significant others are welcome to participate ---what do you think

We need to give JDM engineering enough lead time to come up with a chip, throttle body, pulley MAF and air filter for he carts or something

Kyle, being activities man. Why don't you head up the event. Plan for late Jan as I will be in Hawaii for a week early in the month.

Let us all know the date, the times and the cost.

Later

Paging 2_Fast, Pagin 2_Fast,

Earth to 2_Fast ---- are you there???

Mr activity chairman, why don't we --- NVLOPE, challeng another car club, i.e. the Z-club or slowmaros to a club race,(at the gocart track) trophy going to the winning club. That way we will have enough to rent the whole track and do some serious racin??? What do you think???

Ivanhoe

How does He do that stuff? You Guys and Girls are going to have to watch Ivanhoe. I think He is still Chevy in his heart. He might just do the Taliban thing and switch to the Chevy side if you start loosing.

Careful about challenging the Camaros. I know the Mid-Atlantic F-Body club (my girlfirend has a Z28) held their "Beginning of the Year Bash" this year at Allsports Grand Prix. They already have some experience with the little carts.

I would be willing to participate, though, no matter if it's just NVLOPE or we throw down the gauntlet on some local club.

I also have an LT-1 6-Speed '97 Camaro, and as the guys from TALON will tell you, I am not willing to concede anything to the Lightnings. Having said that, Stock the L will outrun the Camaro, but I can make the Camaro go much faster than the L with the right mods -- something called weight and coefficency of drag. On the otherhand, I really like the supercharger whine, and that would be the first mod to go onto the LT-1.
You can make any vehicle fast if you are willing to spend enough money on it. Speed Costs and it is not a linear progression

I just think it would be fun to have a little rivalry or something

Ok,

I will call them tomorrow to get somemore info. I did read that you do need a 100% deposit for the track reservation. I will also get clarification on that also.

I will let everyone know in the club about money that will be needed for a reservation.

I'm not a member of NVLOPE, but I have been to the cart track you are talking about and it is pretty cool. I would be happy to participate.

Hey BrianK,

Sign Cart99 up --- that is why we call it

Certainly an SVT Contour would be owned by a performance enthusiast or something

Have there been any developments with the go cart races. It sounds like a blast. How people do we need? I'm sure we can get enough interest!
