Exclamation Empress Casino Hotel update

Hello all,

I called the Empress Casino Hotel (815-744-9400) today, as many were worried about rooms for the Joliet event.

I was told the following:
  • The property including the hotel is currently closed.
  • The hotel was not involved in the fire.
  • The complete property (Casino and Hotel) are scheduled to reopen at the end of June.
  • There will be no problems with rooms at the Hotel during the Super Bowl event.

They specifically assured me that they would be open and have the rooms reserved for the Racing Folks!

So, my comment is, "rest easy" the Casino Hotel will be up and running by race time!

...Dwight...

Red face

I am only quoting what I was told today.

I did not have reservations at that hotel, so could not ask about a specific reservation. I would guess that I was told the official "line", but she specifically stated that there would not be a problem with the "race weekend" folks. I suggest that all call every week or so to get an update.

They are losing a lot of money, and will open ASAP just to get the cash flowing again.
