Question Where is everyone staying?

It looks like a "bunch of the folks" are staying at the Fairfield Inn.

Fairfield Inn Joliet South: Earn Rewards points and stay productive when traveling to Joliet

$109, Looks good and it says they are only 6 miles from the track.
Might as well lock something down, can always cancel on the day of.

Dwight, any chance of the NLOC setting up some kind of group rate for the Lightning guys at that Fairfield Inn?

By the time you get it setup Jeff there will be 50 rooms already booked at the Fairfield Inn???? Is everyone suppose to switch then? Be nice if the Fairfield Inn was the Host Hotel.

When we first looked for a place to stay we were only figuring on a dozen or so people.
The two we posted look safe, clean, inexpensive and close to the track. Neither one is super big but that just means less people for us to **** off
I never contacted the hotels because, at the time, I had no idea it would get this big.
So.... no, there is no group discount at the Fairfield.

I had also looked at the Empress Casino and Hotel (which is real close to the Fairfield South), I couldn't find any info on the Hotel. I do see that they also have an RV park attached to the casino.

We didn't figure anyone wanted to deal with downtown Joliet either.

I'd be willing to look at what Jeff sets up, but I doubt I would switch at this point.

EDIT (I switched)

we have staff that work hard to get great discounts at hotels it takes time we just have not come up with one yet for this event. We are trying to get the Empress Casino to become the host Hotel If it becomes one you still have plenty of time to cancel the others.

As of 2pm today the Empress Casino will be our Host Hotel and Party Place. Will post prices and info as soon as Sharon gets the Contract in her hands.

Will, if the Fairfield is very close (easy walking distance), then I don't see a problem with just staying at the Fairfield and partying at the Empress Casino?

We'll just see what the price is at the Empress as soon as Jeff gets it posted, but unless it's considerably cheaper, I'm not inclined to switch.
