Don't like it one bit!

I was under the impression that a privilege of NLOC membership was the use of the Gallery. I've got several hundred pictures stored there. They used to be separated into named albums with descriptions of most of the pictures. Now there is some wacky unusable new format without the albums names or descriptions? The thumbs are distorted to the point of being useless. There does not seam to be any way to browse other members forums and if I was motivated enough to go back and arrange, label and otherwise sort them out, the gallery will not allow me access to my pictures.

I had a bunch of pics posted in classifieds as well for used parts I'm cleaning out of my garage!

Also a couple of my galleries were "HIDDEN"...

First,

The old gallery is GONE. We will not use it as it was a one-off software problem. The new vBGallery is intergrated with the forum, so that is what we will use. NO ONE can modify the galleries yet, as we have not finished the setup to limit the gallery posting to NLOC members. We have to load all of the current members in a new user group. They will not be available to modify until we get the new user group setup.

We actually got most of the photos moved to the new gallery, no easy feat.

but really, once dwight flips the switch, you'll be able to go in and edit your gallery names/descriptions.

..and I'm a little ticked. Some warning would have been nice. I store 90% of my stuff somewhere else, but I was just getting to trust the gallery. I'm not likely to go back through 5-600 pictures and reorganize and relabel all of them and without it they are really useless.

Yes I did ask if I should back up my Gallery and got no answer. I have pic that were in the gallery that is the only place the were stored. I lost my laptop in the hurricane that had most of my gallery pic's on it. I have a new laptop but have not been able to get it all set up like I want yet. I would have backed up my galley if I would have been told the was the possibility of loosing some pic's in it.

The album names are gone, the photo descriptions are gone, the pictures are no longer in order or grouped as I had them. They are now random or ordered by size? Looking at the thums gives me a headache.

The albums are grouped the same way they were before. What was an "album" before, is now a "gallery". What previously was a "gallery" is now a "gallery hall"! I hope everyone can understand the name change. The album names and photo descriptions will be added to the gallery in the next day or two by Chris. He will move the descriptions and then add back the photos.
We will look at the thumbnail distortion.

With the Gallery down at least I'm getting some work done.

Here's what I made for Big D's Christmas present
