THANKS!!
My '99 seems to be the same as yours.

I've seen '04 L's at the track with nothing but a 4lb lower and custom tune run 12.7's while my '99 with a 4lb lower, custom tune, built tranny with 2400 stall, e-fan, high flow cats, 90mm MAF, JLP CAI, and ET Streets would run 13.2's

Not very inspiring.

The thing is that there were other trucks that dynoed that same day that had less mods that had better results than I. I know that I have to get free flowing cats, seeing as mine are stock for now. Some people tell me to cut them off, since my state does not do emission testing, but I want to leave them on, just in case I move. What do you guys suggest?

Exhaust is a definite + on all Lightning's at least get a Hi Flo Cat at some time.

You have brought up a good point with the 99's to open for Discussion and any other input that we can all learn from.
In 1999 Ford Released an after cooler that was restrictive, it had Less core volume than the newer ones. I believe it was 7 rows compared to 10 on the update, also the Intake Manifold is better on the newer Lightning's. I hope this helps and would like to hear other's insight on this issue.

Yes, I wondered whether to port the manifold, but a lot of guys told me that it would not result in sufficent hp increase to warrant the extra cost and to look for HP elsewhere. I had my intercooler recall done, so I think it should be the same intercooler as all the other Lightnings. Can someone clarify this for me?

What about all of those 99/00's that have the updated intercooler? The updated cooler is the same cooler found on the 01's and up. I don't think there are too many 99/00's without the updated intercooler so not to be rude but your conclusion doesn't stand a chance and can only be questioned. Where do we go from here?

Also, I have seen several intake manifolds from various lightning model years, whats the difference other than the bolt pattern for the blower?

So if I had mine ported by Apten in Feb of 2004, Stieg did the porting then? What port job is it that I would have? 1? 2? And I assume this would make me eligible for the maintanence upgrade?

Also, what is this I hear about a power fin? What the heck is that, and what other options do you offer/recommend?

You have Version .5...simply because they weren't quite Stiegemeier yet.

You sure I don't have version 0.suck? lol. Never have enjoyed any good results. 374/445 with a 4#, accufab, e-fan, 90mm, JLP cai, tune, and port, etc just has never impressed me. I want to believe in this, but I just haven't had the results others have.
