| Registered User | New From Cabot, Arkansas Hi All... I fell in love with the Gen 1 trucks shortly after they hit the streets. At the time, I was a young Airman in the Air Force and had two boys and I was only able to purchase a '95 Long bed XL with the TX / OK package with chrome, 5 speed, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette and sliding window with Oxford white paint and red cloth bench / interior. I purchased a White Gen 1 this past June from a member in Enid, OK. It is a clean 125K TX and OK truck. I've done a MSD ignition upgrade, replaced the worn out Toyo Proxes II tires with Kumho APT 51's, the local Ford dealer performed a trans & power steering flush, I replaced the TPS and Trans Range Sensor, performed a coolant flush, a oil change with Castrol GTX Hi Mileage 10W30, installed 2 missing oil pan screws and also added a JVC Head Unit, Pioneer Speakers and a Amp. Next on the list is a fuel filter, differential service, rear view mirror and Lt and Rt side view mirrors. I ran the amp power wire through the passenger side kick panel, behind the water tight panel but I get some water intrusion after a few days of heavy rain. No seapage noted during a normal wash. I have noticed alot of owners running their power wire through the drivers side behind the brake booster, but I'm unable to determine exactly where it's being routed. Where's the best place to run the power wire without worrying about a water leak? I'm glad to be here. James |

| Registered User | Water leak taken care of. I used to live in Gulfport, MS for a few years. I started to enjoy it around the time I left for AR. I do miss wearing shorts 10 months out of the year but I don't miss the Salt Rain showers a few times a day in the summer. It can sure ruin a paint job on a daily driver in just a few days. I re-routed the power wire through the fire wall and all is good. |
