| Registered User Paid Member | Hello: New Member with a Question..! Hello, My name is Fred, 65 yrs old, and just bought a 1999 Lightning... Pristine condition, low miles, love it... I amaze people by displaying my handicap parking permit on the mirror, yet lay a bit of smoke as I leave <grin>...LUV IT... My question is: How heavy a trailer can I tow..???? Standard F-150 literature mentions 5000lb. limit... I would think having a 5.4 supercharged engine, with factory cooling, and suspension, etc. that I could pull much more.... I plan to sell my 35 ft Motor Home and get a trailer to pull, SO I can have my "Lightning" with me...Oh yeah...golf cart in the bed too...<grin>.. Just curious about the weight I can pull....Any suggestions greatly appreciated.. BTW..the golf cart is a modified 20 HP, live axle, 22 " knobbies on the rear...can do 50mph...<grin> Thanx for your response... Fred Northford, CT |
