| Registered User | New member to the forum, proud '94 owner Hello everyone, my name is Randall and I bought my dream truck since I was in high school a few months back, and it is a white 1994 Lightning. It was owned by a Ford parts counter employee and was very well taken care of, and came with a freshly installed Vortech V2 supercharger kit, and an upgraded rear axle with a newer E4OD as well. I can't stop smiling when I am driving it as I truly have wanted one of these trucks since I first read about them in car magazines in late 1992, and so far it has been quite fun owning one. I have just installed HIDs, (bi-xenon units), a new heater core, (which I was surprised how easy it was to do), and some new headlight/blinker units, along with an LED third brake light. I will have pics up soon so you guys can see it, but I am still busy checking out all of your sweet rides!! I am looking forward to getting to know this forum better, although I do work way too much to spend a lot of time on here, I will check in as often as possible. A little about myself, I am 29 and an Autozone store manager, I own 5 Fords and am a diehard Ford man. My other Fords are two 1992 Taurus SHOs, a 1993 Bronco, (currently working on finishing a roller 351w/mass air transplant), and my little baby, a 1968 Mustang GT which I have turned into a high 10 second 1/4 mile car. I have never been officially employed as a mechanic, but I have been working on cars since I was 14 and feel pretty confident I can do just about anything on most cars except automatic transmission work, which I am afraid of after a botched C6 rebuild! Anyway I am new to the Lightning world, but I am very excited to learn what is out there for our Lightnings and in seeing what you guys have done to yours. -Randall |

| Registered User | Thanks! That is a SWEET notchback in your avitar pic!! I think we must be in the same boat as it sounds like you also have wanted a Gen 1 for a while! I love mine so much!! I can't wait to learn more about the best modifications out there for these trucks, and I hope to have my new Lightning for years to come! It is refreshing to see that there are still a few Gen 1 guys out there, nothing against the Gen 2 Lightnings as I like those very much too, but it seems hard to find much on the web for Gen 1's! Here are a few pics of my Lightning in case you guys are curious what it looks like: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by Randall01; 01-17-2008 at 02:01 AM. |
