New, very new and thread challenged

Hello all, new member from Illinois. I've had my red 99 for 4 yrs now. Been out of commsion for a few months with a hole in the block. Ordered a long block from LFP with whipple. Hope to have it back together in the next month or so and look forward to talking to everyone, getting suggestions and dialing it in.

Welcome Steelerfan from a fellow Red 99 owner. Had mine since she was brand new but I've been easy on her with a Stage4 port, 6# pulley, tuner,CAI.
Sorry to hear about the vented block but sure sounds like it's going to be a bad*** machine with that new build-up.

That's funny I was going to add in my post that I thought it would be great if you were thinking about coming to Lfest6 cause I would love to see that truck
in action. If you still think your coming when we get closer to Lfest give me a
PM and I'll see ya there.

Steelerfan,
The truck is always out on good days, but rain and especially snow keep the L
inside the garage. My 96' Ford Probe GT is my beater car for those days. I do
take the truck down the track and have done fairly well. At Lfest3 took 4th in
Street L,in Lfest4 took 5th, in this past Lfest I was knocked out early. Still not
getting good launches yet. I'll get more practice when spring finally gets here.

Well sounds like your doing fine to me Oz. are you running low 13 high 12?
Last I ran was at the WFMC in St.louis a couple years ago. Ran best 12.76 at 106 then lost a plug. Sounds like you have similar mods but I had a 50shot of gas I cant wait to get it back up and running hope to be running in the 10's

There is another guy down by you. He comes up North to hang with the ILLNESS crew every now and then. His name is Justin. (alpinelightning)

It gets a little nicer out we will have to make the trip up.
I'll have to look for him, thanks.
You guys go to shows and track?

I see where you guys are heading for the KC. I wouldnt mind hooking up for the trip over but it would be about 2hrs out of my way. Is Alpine going?

We get together for all sorts of stuff. It's a good bunch of people.
We do about a half dozen outings to Byron Dragway (just South of Rockford)
We get our own staging lanes and run a small bracket race with trophys.
The dates should be posted in the ILLNESS section late Feb/ early March.

I don't think Justin has gone to LightningFest.
Yeah, you probably would be better off to KC via I-70. I think the Indy guys go that way too.
