New guy help

Hey Guys,
New guy here. I am considering purchasing a local '94 Lightning, but no nothing about them. I will be using this primarly as a tow vehicle for my Miata and trailer. The truck comes with a uninstalled Draw-Tite hitch plus its gotten new shocks all around, front end bushings, new interior carpet, sound deadening, new rear axle bearings and seals, new transmission fluid and pan gasket, new alternator, and probably a few other odds and ends.

The only negatives are the lack of air conditioning (replaced with an idler pulley) and the somewhat weathered exterior.

What do I need to know and will this work as a good tow vehicle?
Thanks!

There are many guys here using Gen1s to regularly tow other Gen1s. What kind of trailer is it? A Miata and an open trailer will not even break a sweat.

Haven't bought the trailer yet, I was waiting to get a truck first and this Lightning fell into my lap. It will however be an open trailer though
