From 5.0 to Lightning

I am from Kansas, I am still a little timid but am trading my beloved Mustang for a 1 Gen Lightning. Wanted to check out the site so I could learn as much about these trucks as I do about Mustangs. Hope they are not too much of a headache. Wanted to say hey to everyone...thanks for having me.

Thank you for the welcome. I live in Frontenac (Pittsburg). Do you guys have a website? We also have a club down here but it is not just for Fords or even Lightnings. 100mphclub.com - Index
There are a few Lightnings in our club, the one I am getting, and a few others.
We have MOKAN Dragway down here, our club has started to become very large but not like KCSR...lol
I still have not sealed the deal on this Lightning, I cannot make up my mind if I want to part with my Fox Body.

Send a message via AIM to Sheila
Go L! Fox bodies are common, L's aren't. Do it, and welcome to the club.

As Sheila said, Mustangs are a "dime a dozen". The Gen 1 is a limited production truck. Less than 12,000 made and a number of them have bit the dust. The Gen 1's have their "idiosyncrasies" as do all vehicles. This is the BEST site especially for the Gen 1 Lightning. Do a bunch of reading and you'll learn a bunch about these trucks and their "idiosyncrasies".

Hey I totally agree with you, but Mustangs have been a part of my life long before the Lightning or SVT for that much was ever thougth of.
The Fox is the hottest of all the Mustangs on the market. Granted the Lightning was the first of the "Speed Trucks" (Syclone does not count) but the Mustang will forever be in our home. MOST people do not even know what a Lightning is, but EVERYONE knows what a Mustang is.
I am looking foreward to taking delivery on my 94 Lightning this next Tuesday.
It looks exactly like yours in the pic Scriced. Minus the clear lights, and white fiberglass top. I wanted a red 95 but the fewest made where that year so I will probably not have one.
