| Guest | Shane, got your message. I'm runing a 56.5" 6-rib belt. Since I'm not using the water pump divertor, this is my only option in a 6-rib belt. With an 8-rib, you have more options available, especially if you change pulleys. I had an 8-rib on the old blower, and I ran a 57" belt with a 2.75" pulley. Also, since I'm not using the divertor pulley, I initially had trouble with the belt contacting the water pump bolt heads. I solve this problem with a set of button-head allen bolts (they don't stick out as far). I get a lot of belt wrap with this setup, which is why I've seen 14# of boost with the stock Vortech 2.87" 6-rib pulley. If you have any other ?s, just call or email me. Vern |

| Guest | Vern~ Thanks for the reply, I think I'll have to go a little longer on the belt, since I'm going with a bigger pully and all, but that gives me a rough estinate! I remember what you said about the water pump bolts, I should be able to get some of them from a hard ware store, you think?? I have nice pretty blue underdrive pully going on the water pump, and I'm going back with underdrive crank pully as well! Later ![]() ------------------ Shane L.
