| Guest | Well I am pretty bored! I went back through the past year of Posts on this forum MKLO has grown leaps and bounds kinda neat to look at everyones times and how they have fallen! How much of a Dork I was when I got this site! I mean Shane I think was going 13.66 @ 99MPH now he is going 12.6's at 104 or 106 (sorry can't remember and I am not gonna take the time to be accurate)Also want to thank Dave and Sharon for keeping Ronda and I company on the Side of I-470 in Topeka when my truck Puked its engine. Neil when he got the Silver beast and his run in with the SS454 on North Oak. Shawn and the White truck being the one of the fastest at the start of the year but also being the most consistant throughout the year. Donald and Vern and some of the problems they endured chips blowers and crunch time for some of the races and for Vern keeping this club up and running making the stickers and going the EXTRA MILE. Roger and the success on getting these big ol trucks out to the Autocross events and winning points for his class ( many Kudo's). Ringo for the awesome showing at Topeka proving the GEN 2's can go rounds, Big Mike G for showing me I am not the only one who can EAT and how exactly to bracket race(I asked you exactly how you do this I think at Ford Weekend here in KC if not somewhere?). Ronda and I for being us and trying to realize 2 trucks is a PITA and for kicking my butt at Bethany! and Shane's Parent's Mike and Rhonda for providing the designated parking area at Topeka and the Killer Beans! Neil's Parents for the Wonderful House by the lake we invaded! Oh and Shawn's cat JEEZ WHAT A CAT! AHH just reflecting on the past year and can't wait for Next Year! Hope you decide when you have some free time to reflect on the years past and realize what a Great time we had this year! Thanks Again for everyone's help this year alot of this couldnt have been possible with out this club! Greg ------------------ 01 White Lightning # 1552. Garage Queen! | Guest | That's a pretty awesome post Greg. I think you need to memorize it and use it as the first toast on Sunday < >.Seriously tho, you and Rhonda have been great people and it's been fun knowing you. ...now I've just gotta figure out a way to get more trucks out for Autocrossing next season < >. So far it's only Gary and myself who're doing the full season for both clubs.------------------ NLOC #307 12.93 @ 106.50 2001 KCIR Fun Ford Weekend Lightning Class Winner 2001 Crown Autocross Club E Street Prepared Champion |

| Guest | damn good post i 2nd or 3rd that. a few thing's that i can remember. meeting all the kool people. before we all started think there was 3 black trucks 2 red's and yes one lonley white truk. which we all had to try and chase down kudo's shawn, all we needed was a little push to get us started lol/. since then we have seen everyone's time slips drop. i think we owe this to team work in a sense. thing's like the little get togather's bench racing etc. i dont think we could have done this for as long if not have been for the people. i cant really stick this on one person but i think we can all give ourselvs a pat on the back. i have turned a lot of time to the car wich by the way looks great dont get me wrong i still love my truck it has a body shop appt. end of month. i hope to be running strong as everyone is by 02. be good and we are sure to have a great 02. ps vern is our race still on ...... | Guest | Who's da man! Oh Shane the race for the 11's leave Ronda and I out of it. I am shooting for high 12's Consistantly. 11's costs me mucho money I wanna lean more to being better at the tree and also being fast at the end. Speed is sometimes easy and sometimes very expensive but cosistancy wins races of course being fast does too! I want both but consistancy is my main goal! | Guest | Good luck everyone, but count me out for that race. I've been that route and it seems I always lose use of the vehicle for 4-5 months a year due to the weather. This guy is just tired of driving beaters. I've stopped modding mine so I can drive it year round. The fact that it can turn a fair quarter mile and turn a corner now and then is an obvious treat, but it's staying my daily driver. Don't get me wrong--more power to you guys (and gals). It'll be fun watching the times drop, but mine's where I want it so I'm in a holding pattern. Besides, I've got to start saving for my factory five. Wave at me when you go by--I'll be sitting in the lawn chair sipping the ice tea < >!------------------ NLOC #307 12.93 @ 106.50 2001 KCIR Fun Ford Weekend Lightning Class Winner 2001 Crown Autocross Club E Street Prepared Champion |
