Beater Brawl!

OK, I know it's getting cold out and most of us are putting away our toys for the winter and dragging out the beaters. So on that note, myself as well as a few others (lil zeus, red rose, deezul, neil just to name a few) are wanting to have a Beater Brawl. A beater is a vehicle that:
1) is worth less than $800.00
2) has dull paint or "two(or more)toned" paint
3) a 6 cyl or less
4) no use of nitrous (or propane)
If you are interested in the Beater Brawl, post here and if enough are interested this is a go. It will most likely be at KCIR on a Sunday afternoon. Maybe like Sunday on December 9th.

OOOOOOOOK, we have revised the Beater Brawl..

Same as above but, we will have an Outlaw Class. This will consist of using Nitrous or Propane, you will be in a class of your own. Or you can disconnect it and leave your bottle out on the ground and be in both classes. Greg and I are donating 5 quarts of oil and a certificate for an oil filter for the first place winner. We're thinking of a prize for second place and for third, I am going to buy a "I Luv My KIA" license plate frame from work.

This is just for fun and fun it will be. If anyone has any suggestions let us know!

Suggestions: sure...if 1st place is 5 quarts of oil, then 2nd should be 7 quarts and 3rd should be 10 quarts...they'll probably NEED it &lt

Come on Greg...I knew I should of kept my mouth shut about the fogger system. Looks Like I'll have to rely on the ol' 2.3 liter to go down helplessly. But, I do qualify for the better standers. The door and the quarter are caved in. We definitly need to get this on tape! -Neil

what is the weight break for the beater?? $500 drop 50lbs
i cant use the yellow pp (sorry sharon) so i will try and scare up something cheap ...

how bout a air filter or spark plugs cap rotor for 2nd and 3rd. Oh i bet you guy's already changed those right lol..

I've got a fresh 2.8 V-6 in the Bronco II 4x4 auto. Not even broke in yet. I even have brand new exhaust including a new cat and muffler. YOU'RE GOING DOWN SUCKA!!!

Neil, you can race in the outlaw class it allows the use of nitrous or propane! We will also be handing out a crown to the fastest ET of the day KING or QUEEN OF THE BEATERS! Its a Burger King Crown but its cool!

I would like in too. But, I'm not sure about that $800 limit. My 200,000 mile Park Avenue might be worth around $850 after talking to Shawn.

well i would like to but i dont think my ole 83 mustang v6 auto would make the drive down & back(145 mile round trip)the 14 mile round trip to work bout does it in)

I talked to Jeff today, looks like the last day KCIR will be open is November 25th. So, Novembe 25th it is ~~~THIS SUNDAY~~~! He suggested we could rent the track out but I know that will be too much money, more than anyone with a beater would want to spend.
So, get your beater in tip top running shape and bring it out this Sunday, It will be fun!! And yes, this is Shane's idea. I just figured I'd get the ball rolling.

Well this sounds kool but my car don't leave town don't trust it . It's 76 maverick paint house paint green with big white letters on the side and black wheels. It does have a 302 and a 3spd with no muffler. haven't change the oil in two years but it only used one quart in that time .Ringo
