Finally Got Snow

We finally got some snow (2-4ft.) in the Snow belt of the U.P. Tons of people are out snowmobiling around Munising, Newberry, Ironwood, etc... How's it down there? - Brian

She's pretty crappy down here south of the bridge, at least in Metro Detroit. It's been snowing (flurries on and off) since Christmas day. Just enough to make the roads crappy and the people on the road drive even crappier. No real accumulation of snow, only salt on the roads, arrgh.

How do the trails look up there? I'm guessing this is your first big snowfall and everybody and their grandma is out on the trails. Time for the groomers to head out! My sled is on the trailer and waiting to go! Was planning on trailering up to the UP this weekend, maybe I'll wait til the trails are groomed more, more snow. Gotta check the snow reports, later. TS

I'm hearing there is plenty of snow, but everyone and their friend are out there. The groomers are out and the trails are pretty good except for low-lands and rivers which haven't frozen enough. Most of this info. was from guys riding by Munising. - Brian

The SW corner of the state has SNOW. I've gotten about 2' since Monday. We are supposed to get another 8" to 12" tonight. I love lake effect!!! Is spring close yet? LOL

hey guys, where is Houghton Lake? Boy I feel dumb asking that! Anyway, my GF and I are getting itchy to go up north for a long weekend and rent some sleds!! Any info on where to rent (someone said Hackers???), where to stay, etc wouuld be appreciated.
