good machine shop / engine builder???

Anyone recomend a good machine / engine builder? I want to have my block magnafluxed, line bore checked, decked, new cam bearings/freeze plugs,etc, rotating assy balanced and the short block assembled. Probably wont be until Feb though as I have to keep it one piece until then.... (cough) Autorama (cough)...

Yes, Baker Engineering. I think they are in Spring Lake. They have a web site but you will have to do a search. They are the ones doing Marcel's motor. They have a very good reputation.

Livernois Motorsports in Redford (used to be Holbrooks.....then Stu Evans Motorsports). Last I heard Chris Holbrook was still there.

So did I talk you into a long rod setup yet?

hey Kevin, sorry I havent called you back yet. I was in Indy this weekend for the SVTOA on Track event. I still want to give you a call so we can discuss the long rod theory! I didnt know Livernois (Holbrook, Stu Evans) was still open??

No problem. I'll be around evenings this week. This weekend I will be away from the PC, though.....digging the hole for my basement!!! Construction is beginning, finally.

my dad and myself have all our work done at Pierce Engineering in Lansing. We've always had good luck, and they are very nice people.

Lansing is a long way form me. Do they do good work? How about prices? I want it done right, but at a reasonable price, ya know??
