| Guest | Hey Jeff I was there. Got there late,a bout 3:35 or so. I drove up and down the lot but couldnt find any one there. We circled Game Works a few times and did run into T-Bone as he (and us) were leaving. My appologies to everyone who showed up. BTW, they would *NOT* take any reservations. | Guest | I'm driving north I-75 just past monroe (I live at the state line) and I smell antifreeze real bad. I look at the temperature guage and it is full tilt. I pull over right away, and of course white smoke, or steam or whatever pouring out from under the hood. I pop the hood and the coolant hose that runs into the fire wall split. Well sort of. Whoever owned the truck before me installed a prestone flush kit into it, and the PLASTIC hose tap connected in line with the hose failed and broke off. So I had a hose in half. So I get to a phone make a call, wait 45 minutes and get picked up and I'm off to Meijer. I buy the same kit for $4 get back to the truck and install it again until I get a whole new hose. That was the only damage (hose), but I wasnt exactly in the mood to continue the voyage since it was so late then, and the truck was a mess after that. Coolant sprayed down the sides of the truck, and you can imagine how it looked under the hood. I spent a long time cleaning that truck inside and out for the meet, and well thats why I was a no show. Right now my babies in the driveway clean again, and doing fine. I spent the rest of the night wondering "gee i wonder what their doing now" "I wonder how the stickers look", "I wonder how the truck group pic will look". From what I read above though I guess there wasnt a turnout? I'm suprised actually because it seemed as if there was some enthusiasm for this. Well, I cant say too much since I wasnt there. Thats my story, wrote it as I am still pi**ed. |

| Guest | well guys I had to stop at the auto parts store on the way because my starte seloniod is dying. I didnt want to get stranded. If it was for that and the trafdfic on 275 I would have only been about 5 min late. yes i was in my truck, smae one int eh sig, kinda hard to miss . I feel really bad about this....We at the SVTOA are planning a a meet at KArt2Kart in December befoer Christmas. i think maybe we should just meet ther and postpone the groupo pic until spring time. Paul Gentilozzi is scheduled to be there as well! ------------------ Chuck P 1993#3951 (24k miles, mod'ed and lots of custom parts) NLOC#138 NLOC Michigan area Regional Representative MiLOC#10 00 Focus ZX3 99 GT conv 91 GT (race/show car- in hibernation) |

| Guest | WHITE_LIGHTNING, Hate to hear about your truck there is nothing worse than having something like that happen. We should all exchange cell numbers on the new group that Chuck formed for stuff like this. I am in that area and I could of came down to assist. I wish that I would have found you guys, I circled the lot looking for everone at the same time I was searching for a parking spot and found myself parking right next to Chucks truck. Not sure who all I have met before so I probably walked right by some of you, I did catch up to Chuck. We will have to try one more time somewhere if the weather permits, I would like to meet all of you. |

| Guest | T-Bone, thanks for the offer of helping out had you of known, thats real cool of you. Great idea about the cell phone #'s too. I actually dont even have one as of now, but come Christmas I will, and Last saturday was a big motivator for that gift idea. I did have to do a little walking to get to a phone, but it could have happened in worse spots I tell myself. I always had the attitude that I would never be broke down since i take good care of the truck. What the heck, I learned parts can fail. Small parts that can cause a lot of havoc. I'm the only person around anymore who doesnt have a cell phone, so I guess i'll be a big shot after Christmas. |
