Post ILLNESS* Fall Truck Shootout this Sunday, Oct. 7th at Byron

I hope some of you Michigan guys can make it over here again this weekend.

The ILLNESS* Fall Truck Shootout will be held this Sunday.

*(Illinois Lightning Lovers Needing Excessive Speed Stimulation)
Sunday October 7th at Byron Dragway in Byron, IL
Track opens at 9:00 AM, time trials start at 10, program starts at noon.
Please see: www.byrondragway.com for directions.

All makes and models of TRUCKS are invited for this event.
Please tell your friends who drive those “off” brand trucks. Or better yet, drag them along.

Two different bracket classes based on dial-ins will be run.

1) 12.99 second E’s and quicker
2) 13.00 seconds and slower

A standard 0.500 second sportsman tree will be used for both classes.
Trophies will be awarded to the winner and the runner up in each class.
For the event (not by class), trophies will also be awarded for the best reaction time, and quickest ET run during elimination rounds. Any ties will go to closest ET run to their dial in without breaking out.
As this is just for friendly competition, no electronics or trans brakes may be used.

Important Safety Notes:
Anyone running 13.99 or quicker MUST have a helmet. As most of our trucks fall in this range, they will be checking for these. If you have an extra helmet and wouldn’t mind sharing it for the event, please bring it with you. Byron Dragway does have a few which can be rented. Don’t let this stop you from coming out as we can share them.
Other safety equipment normally required for ET’s you run is also expected to be on your truck.

Lets all get out there and have some fun this weekend. Summer is almost gone, and the weather should be great for some low ET’s.
