Post Mobile Dragway

Is anyone going to the Mobile dragway Tues. night for T&T? Bubba should be there with his Silver L and I will be there with mine. A good friend of mine is bring his 98 Chevy and an extended cab Chevy with a blower is always there. Several Stangs usually show up. There usually isn't very many big boys so you don't have to wait long to run starts around 530 to 6 and elim. start around 9. I have to work Wed so I want be in GP.until next Wed.

How far is it from Biloxi, and is it a 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile track?

Its between 45 min. to an hour from Biloxi. It's and 1/8 mile track. Do you know where the Mobile Intl. circle track is in Irvington? The Dragway is right beside it. On hyw 90 just about 10 mile east of the grand bay exit.

I can probably find it on the ole map...I know 90 is easy to get to so, maybe I'll see if I can get out that way...I never raced on an 1/8 mile before.

Matt, Take I-10 to the Grand Bay exit, turn right and go about 2 miles to hwy 90, turn left and go about 12 miles after you pass through a small town called St. Elmo you will come to a gas station on your right, turn to the right there and then go across the R/R tracks and turn on the first road to your left, go down that road about 1 mile and you will see it. The track is not bad but its not a true 1/8, its a 600' track because they ran out of land and the big boys couldn't get stopped when it was a true 1/8. Hey several of my friends are going to come to GP not this WED but the next, Should be a good time.

Thats probably the next time I'll see you at the track. I'll be there in Gulfport on Wed though searching for that 13 second run. I still have a few tricks up the sleeve for the truck...its just a matter of getting out there and doing them...lol!

Thanks for the directions...I see if some of the Gulfport regulars want to head there!
