| Party Like a Porn Star!!! | Just a Thought Well Heartland park has changed the course this year. It no longer goes on to the drag strip. This may mean you could run both at the same time. I've been to OTs where they run both at the same time. Saturday run all of the drag racing time trials and at the same time run the OT all day long. Sunday have your big drag race showdown. This would also give people a chance to try ontrack instead of leaving. You would have more going on and hopefully a little more interest for both days. But would have to check with heartland park to see if they would allow it. But it is possible. Just thought I'd let everyone know. What do you think everyone. Alex

| born 2 be blown | I was just up at HPT for the NHRA and you cant run both at the same time even though the drag strip is not used as part of the OT. You still have to turn off the drag strip and cross the OT to get back to the pits. This would mean traffic crossing onto the OT. No DICE. B |

| President Paid Member | The reason the OT was moved off the drag strip, was to allow safe running of the driving events when the track was wet. Turning onto the drag strip and making the long run down the straight-away was slick and dangerous. In 2002, Nan and I watched a new Mustang turn the corner into the drag strip straight-away and punch it....straight into the cement divider. ![]() |
