Exclamation Golf Cart Rules

NLOC/NHTOC - Golf Cart Rules
  • Race is 1/8 mile only
  • Open to any golf cart running 6.00 and slower
  • All-Run Field
  • Open Comp format
  • Handicapped (.500) Sportsman tree
  • Deep Staging Permitted
  • Per NHRA Rules any cart running drag slicks must have a driveshaft Safety Loop (if the cart has a drive shaft)
  • Single power adder allowed
  • Full Chassis & Back-half carts not permitted
  • All carts must be built on a commercially available golf cart chassis
  • Delay Boxes, Trans Brakes, Throttle Stops, Two-steps and other electronic bracket-racing devices used for the purpose of improving reaction time & E.T. are prohibited
  • Snell “SA95” or later, rated helmet required for all drivers
  • Prizes - Dortmunder mini-keg 1st, MGD 6-pack 2nd, Bud Lite can 3rd (trophies)
Competition will be regulated under standard NHRA “First or Worst” competition policy during eliminations, in a double red light or double breakout situation.

IT IS THE COMPETITOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO INSURE BOTH GOLF CART AND DRIVER ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH NHRA SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE VEHICLE’S PERFORMANCE LEVEL



The Event Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any golf carts not meeting the rules, and his decision is final

Not really Jeff,

This coming year we are opening it up to anyone that has a real golf cart to race....after that, the rules are "Cheating is Allowed and Encouraged!"

Dwight, you need to update the helmet spec - next yr it will be SA2000 or newer. As soon as the 2005 certified helmets are out, then so are the 95s (out, that is).

hmmm. this could get interesting . .
