Exclamation KCIR WILL Have Friday Night Drags, But...!

This information is from Nan's email and conversation (phone) with Jeff of KCIR.

1. KCIR will have their Friday Night Drags and we CANNOT afford to buy the night out (~$10,000?).
2. All LightningFest participants are allowed to race Friday night at no charge.
3. During racing on Friday night slicks WILL BE ALLOWED!
3. KCIR will provide 3-4 security guards to patrol/protect LF trucks/equipment.
4. KCIR will tape off our area Friday night.
5. KCIR will ensure that our BBQ is not bothered by non-LF folks.
6. KCIR will have security to protect the Vendors Midway.
7. KCIR has suggested that the Vendors may want to sell merchandise during the Friday night racing?!
8. Camping will be allowed on KCIR for LF participants.

I will post more information as it becomes available.

Sounds like a good compromise.

Besides, it'll be fun to poke some of the locals with our farm trucks.

You stress slicks will be allowed friday night, does this mean they won't be over the weekend?

Wink

Of course we (LightningFest) allow slicks...but some drag operations..like HPT do not allow anything but DOT tires.

I was just letting everyone know that KCIR's Friday nite grudge race allows drag slicks.

Anyone that wants to, can run slicks on the Ford "Farm Trucks", while wooping up on the locals!
