Post Question for JIM

Jim, what cam would you recommend for supercharger application? I DO NOT want to convert to mass air. How about the CRANE 444232/FMS-B351 Lightning Cam? I want to install FMS 1.725 Cobra RR's. Will these significantly help with the performance of the truck with the supercharger application. I'm trying to get some things done to the truck before you come down in May to do the supercharger install.

cobra1993,

If you are not going to convert to mass air, I recommend to stay w/ stock cam.
In the early days we put a few of these trucks in the 11.80's with stock cams.
I would consintrate more on the fuel system.I only has a 125 leter per hour pump and it feeds off of its own return. A good fuel system and 12Lbs. of boost will get you down to 12.1's / 12.2's.

What would you recommend as far as a fuel system upgrade? I saw on here somewhere where someone used a Walbro 255lph pump, modified it and it works good. Would this be a good option with a fuel pressure regulator? http://nloc.org/ubb/Forum1/HTML/006094.html
