| Guest | I had a JDM 4# lower on order but canceled the order when I started having engine problems with my 01 L. It looks like the engine will finally be replaced under warranty so I am starting to shop for mods again. It also seems that in the last couple of months that larger lower pulleys have become all the rage. We have seen 2# then 3# now 4#'s pulleys becoming common with some vendors now offering 6# upgrades (will it ever stop?). Is there a realistic limit to all this? Is bigger necessarly better? Heat, traction, blower efficency, ect. You guys seem to have the best handle on the type of products I am looking for so what is your opinion on this and do you have a future larger lower pulley product release on the horizon? ------------------ Thanks, John Kerr 01 White Lightning "Stock and Smokin!!" | Guest | kerrdogg, We are sticking with the 2 & 4 Lb. It has already be proven that you can go into the 11's with the 2# pulley. If you look at this months issue of MM&FF You can see their project truck went 12.1's with just a two lb pulley Most of you guys drive your truck daily. The rods are the weak link. With the extra heat and the extra pressure from the boost is a guaranty to shorten the life of your rods.I run 5 LBS. of extra boost in mine. I never beet it on the street or drive it hard. I race it every two to three weeks. The only reason I am selling the 4 LB. pulley is because my customers keep asking for it. Every day street use I would stick with the 2 LBS. Hope this help Jim@JDM |
