| Guest | Hello Jeff, I talked to Jerry Friday night and gleaned the following: 1. He broke four rods 2. His truck is already back with an 01 engine. 3. Due to a mishap while changing the engine, he also has a new radiator. 4. | Guest | Jeff Think the problem was ah lets see,ok to much head wind!!!! Seriously I'm not sure why it blew as bad as it did....could be to much boost(I'm sure!!!!!!) anyway 17 miles on the motor now, no chip in her and back to her big tires,but only for a brief moment..... The winter looks like 4:10's 15 " wheels 29" drag slicks and perhaps a bit of SPRAY!!!! Also Dwight and Jake did NOT have their shovels and clean up gear as promised at my blow session!!!! Who can ya count on nowadays. From now on I'm carrying 100 lbs of Kitty litter to every meet!!!!!! Seriously the L is doing great got a 01 maybe a few ponies more.I already had so much power the tires wouldn't hold it,so am going to grind the rotors go to `15" wheels and larger tires,launch harder and hopefully run a bit faster . Hope she's got an 11 in her but won't know til next spring...But all is well.Bought my son a 99 white strictly stock, till spring then I wanna get him in the high 12's shouldn't be a problem... | Guest | What is too much boost? 17? 18? I'm getting the itch bad to go with a 3 or 4# lower. Any advice to keep me from blowing up my motor would be greatly appreciated Also JMAN can you e-mail your dealers name? Sounds like their commitment to customer satisfaction is unequalled... thanks Jeff |
