frontmount intercooler

hey guys, this might be a stupid question but what all goes into doing a frontmount setup i have seen them before on a L but do you have to remove the stock intercooler or what?

the front mount is for a turbo setup or a centri blower setup... kb whipple etc have a heat exchanger not a front mount intercooler.. you can get a bigger he but its not called a front mount
