It is not too difficult to do. You will need the following:

Air Compressor
Impact Gun
Pickle Fork
Hammer
Various sockets (13-23mm)
Muscles
Creeper
Jack
Stands
Beer
Breaker Bar
Cheater Bar (if needed)
Pry Bar (or use cheater bar)

And about 2-3 hours a side if you have never done them

To replace them:

=Jack up truck
=Pull front tires
=Pull front calipers off and hang them with slack in the brake line
=Take nuts off of the tie rod ends
=Knock them out with Pickle Fork
=Pull bolt for the top ball joint
=Pull the camber adjuster
=Use Pickle fork to knock bottom ball joint free
=Have second set of hands to catch the knuckle/rotor assembly when the lower ball joints breaks free
=Pull the shock
=Unbolt the top spring retainer and remove
=Pry down between the IBeam and the crossmember to let the spring out (Be Careful spring under tension)
=Using either long Extension and pry bar or using wrench loosen the large nut at the bottom to remove spring
=Remove Sway bar link (if applicable) and remove sway bar mount to get to the next nut
=Put wrench on top and use impact gun to remove bolt
=Push forward on the I-Beam to get by the radius arm
=Unbolt bolt under truck and remove Ibeam
=To Install reverse steps above.
=You might want to replace radius arm bushing while you are at it.
