i know they are cancelling it but before they did i read all your posts about how you hate the gen 3 how the hell can you hate it? its a freaking lightning its a beautiful truck all you guys can do is complain!!!! what a bunch of unthankful dumba$$es the design is cool thats how it was gonna be and you could only complain you guys suck

I think it was ugly. I hate to see them kill it all together, but it definitely wasn't on my shopping list. But, neither is any other variety of new F-150, either.

Gen 3 L was going to be one of the hottest looking vehicles ever made. Looked totally different than the current '04 F-150s, which i hate.

Hey Jeff, how about this? Use the same motor/drivetrain/interior and wrap it in gen1-looking sheetmetal? Now, THAT would be on my shopping list.

But having said that, I hate that they're killing the gen3, whatever it looks like.

Gotta agree with Brooks on this one. That mustard yellow interior is truly disgusting. It's almost like the designer thought the Lightning interior should imitate the ricer/import scene.

I think the look of the new f150's have to grow on you. I used to think they were ugly too, (I thought they looked too much like tonka trucks) but after seeing quite a few of them on the road, I think they're purtty.

So, let me get this correct. If you take a turd and slap a drivetrain in it that produces insane amounts of torque and HP and then label it with a Lightning badge, we MUST love it? What you end up with is a truck that performs like a dream but looks like crap. Read all those posts again. I guarantee that the large majority is simply unhappy with the interior design and a few exterior cosmetic designs, NOT the engine. Nobody here would be "unthankful", just a little opinionated on the final product. And on a personal note, I'd say the "complaints" are very well justified. Most current owners do not like Ford's interior choice for the concept, thus telling you that they must have done something wrong, right?

Well, I know Ford is making a Ford Shelby Mustang. So says MotorTrend magazine. So I dought it. maybe it will be a shelby F150

I think Shelby is highly overrated, as a matter of fact so is Roush!!! all you get is an ugly bodykit, a supercharger whoppee doo ( can just buy a KB or Whipple ) and a $60,000 price tag.. NO Thanks. The Yellow interior was cool for a marketing ploy it was just showcasing something different. I doubt Ford would do something that risky on their flagship truck (maybe Chevy or Dodge). I really hope they come out with an Gen 3 L it would be a shame for them to let the L die.

true, but with Shelby and Roush you get a warranty. Adding a SC yourself will void the warranty.
