Question Gen 3 Lightning a DIESEL?

Ok, get this everyone. I was driving through the local Ford dealeship lot and of course a salesman had to come check out my truck. I asked him if he knew when the Gen 3 was supposed to come out. He said he had just read something about them and they are gonna have a diesel engine. Most likely the new 6.2 they have been working on. Ok, is there any truth to this? I do not want the Gen 3 L to be a diesel. Who's with me?

Your first mistake was asking a salesman anything, and believing it.

I would agree, the salesman prolly did not even know what a Lightning is...

Turbo diesels lay down crazy torque...I think it would be hot. I also think there's never going to be another lightning made by ford. Just my .02

They are pushing us to get more and more Diesel and Hybrid training, if fuel prices continue to rise these power plants will be in more vehicles than we think

Have you ever seen the power gains diesel guys get with just a programmer ??

A turbodiesel Lightning might take some getting used to but its potential would be huge....
